Matthias Ballweg is co-founder of Circular Republic at UnternehmerTUM, which inspires and empowers a network of change-makers in the circular economy. Previously, Matthias Ballweg was co-leader of the global Circular Economy Platform at Systemiq and authored influential studies on the implementation of the European Green Deal.

Dr. Meike Zwingenberger is the Executive Director of Amerikahaus München, the Bavarian Center for Transatlantic Relations. Prior to that she served as Executive Director of the Bavarian American Academy. She holds a PhD in U.S.-American History from the Ludwig-Maximilians university, Munich.

Melanie Maas-Brunner is Chief Technology Officer and a member of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from RWTH Aachen University and joined BASF in 1997 as a research scientist in the Chemical Research and Engineering department.

Michael Smith is a Co-Founder and General Partner at Regeneration.VC, an early stage venture fund that focuses on Consumer ClimateTech – the technical interventions required to help consumer businesses achieve their environmental targets.

Niclas-Alexander Mauss is co-founder of Circular Republic at UnternehmerTUM. While working on his doctorate he initiated CirculaTUM as now largest circular economy research hub in Germany, embedding circularity as a major strategic pillar of the university.

Patrik Lundström is CEO of Renewcell, a circular fashion company based in Sweden. Founded in 2012, Renewcell has developed a patented process that enables the recycling of textile waste into a new material named Circulose.

Ramona Liberoff is the Executive Director of PACE, a public-private collaboration platform that aims to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. Liberoff holds masters’ degrees from Yale University and the London School of Economics. She has started three impact enterprises and invested in 30, as well as mentoring more than 300.

Sarah Fleischer is the co-founder and CEO of tozero, which is developing a process to recover critical materials from lithium-ion batteries. Previously, she co-founded two startups and was an advisor to the Luxembourg Space Agency.
