As AI is transforming the creative landscape, producing visual content is shifting from mastering tools to expressing emotions – a concept Picsart COO Mikayel Vardanyan calls “vibe design” in his DLD26 conversation with journalist Mike Butcher (Pathfounders), introduced by Yervand Sarkisyan.
Just as vibe coding has upended software engineering, design is seeing a similar revolution, Vardanyan explains. “Instead of tools to visual outcome, it’s more emotions to visual outcomes, with the help of AI and help of empowerment.”
The shift means that users can channel feelings directly into visual results instead of navigating menus and sliders. Still, it’s human creativity driving the creative process, Vardanyan emphasizes. “It’s still AI which is empowering you to be more creative and not AI taking over.”
