Bavaria is positioning itself as a global leader in AI innovation, blending cutting-edge technology with a vision for responsible and human-centered progress. In their welcome to the BAIOSPHERE track of the DLD Future Hub conference, DLD founder Steffi Czerny and Michael Klimke, CEO of the Bavarian AI Agency, emphasize the region’s unique strengths in connecting science, industry, and government.
Klimke highlights that the BAIOSPHERE is a statewide ecosystem that extends beyond Munich to various AI hubs across Bavaria. This approach ensures that “Bavaria spreads the AI innovation statewide in order to create a stronger, more resilient and more inclusive network.”
Bavaria also invests heavily in talent, Klimke notes, with more than 70 programs and 134 new AI professorships serving 10,000 students in the field of AI.“Europe must educate its own engineers and entrepreneurs to compete internationally”, Klimke stresses.
