In her passionate talk, which closed day 1 of the DLD Nature conference, Sandrine Dixson-Declève emphasizes the need for systemic approaches to address interconnected social, environmental and economic risks the world is facing.
“We have no room for linear thinking anymore”, the Co-President of the Club of Rome emphasizes. “The complexity of the challenges that we have before us are calling out for holistic, systemic approaches.”
Dixson-Decleve also points out the limitations of GDP as a measure of prosperity, stresses the need for policies that ensure fair wealth distribution and calls for a “system-change compass of hope”, emphasizing the need to redefine leadership and prosperity in harmony with nature.
