In his optimistic and forward-looking DLD26 welcome keynote, Bavaria’s State Minister of Science and Arts, Markus Blume, emphasizes the state’s leadership in technology, research, and innovation.
Reflecting on the conference’s theme, “It’s Going to Be Wild!”, Blume states that the current era, marked by rapid technological and societal change, demands bold action and creativity.
He highlights the importance of embracing exponential advancements, particularly in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, robotics, and fusion energy – all areas on the brink of breakthroughs.
Blume underscores Bavaria’s proactive approach in fostering innovation through the Hightech Agenda Bavaria, a multibillion-euro initiative aimed at strengthening universities, research institutions, and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
“Bavaria is the wildest state in Germany”, Blume quips, celebrating its pioneering spirit and readiness to shape the future through strategic investments.
