In the digital age, photography has been democratized and made accessible to nearly everyone. In this talk, photographer Kurt Moser speaks to journalist Karl Hoffmann about his “Lightcatcher” project – an effort to slow down photography by reverting to a technique that dates back to the 1850s.

His UNESCO project Lightcatcher is a visual ode to the Dolomites mountain range, realized with Ambrotypes, a glass plate technique from 1850 and an almost 2-meter big historic camera.
