The rapid development and adoption of AI globally has dramatic implications for business, the future of work and education, as Ana Paula Assis (IBM) and Thomas Saueressig (SAP) make clear in their conversation with Helmut Schönenberger (UnternehmerTUM).
SAP already has more than 24,000 customers using different AI applications, Thomas Saueressig says.
“For all of us, the roles will evolve with AI”, he observes. “Because everybody will use AI. So everybody should know about AI and especially what to do with it.”
IBM also notices “an acceleration and adoption at levels that we’ve never seen before”, according to Ana Paula Assis.
Internally, the company is rolling out AI applications at an accelerated pace, she adds. “We have an application called Ask HR that does a lot of internal HR tasks for you”, Assis says. “And in the past three years or so, we’ve managed to save more than 12,000 hours of work by automating functions and by making the access to information much easier to the employees.”
