If 2023 was the year of experimentation with AI, 2024 will be all about scaling AI and managing risks and trust, as you’ll hear in this DLD24 session with Ana Paula Assis (IBM) and Marc Al-Hames (Hubert Burda Media).
In her opening presentation, Ana Paula Assis identifies “three use cases where there is demonstrated value for AI”. These are automating businesses, customer service (think chatbots) and IT operations, including software development.
Assis, the head of IBM EMEA, also discusses challenges in scaling AI, such as a global skills shortage, and making AI more transparent and trustworthy.
Compared to consumer applications, enterprise AI has higher stakes due to needs for accuracy, privacy and data ownership, Assis points out.
