Jeremias Schröder is the current Abbot Primate of the Benedictine Confederation, serving as the titular and unifying head of the worldwide Benedictine Order. Born in Bavaria, he joined the St. Ottilien Archabbey in Eresing, Germany in 1984, then pursued studies in philosophy, theology, history, and archivistics at Sant’Anselmo and St Benet’s Hall, Oxford.
