Moderator Nina Ruge leads a fascinating conversation on leading longer, healthier lives with “longevity hacker” Chris Mirabile and banker Marco Iannaccone of UniCredit/HypoVereinsbank.
Mirabile shares his ambitious goal to surpass the record of Jeanne Calment, who lived for more than 122 years. “Ideally I can surpass that, but do so in good health”, he says.
Multiple biological age tests, including epigenetic clocks and metabolomic markers, show that Mirabile has managed to slow his own aging process down significantly, he claims. “My telomere age is that of a 10-year-old”, he says, even though he looks older. “Sometimes I act like a 10-year-old”, Mirabile adds with a big smile. “But that’s the exception.”
Iannaccone discussed how longevity impacts finance and insurance, highlighting UniCredit’s longevity index and future business models.
“We partnered with experts”, he explains, “taking into account not only social demographic aspects, but many others like technology, real estate lifestyle, and obviously finance.”
