Renowned physician and scientist Dr. Daniel Kraft delivers an inspiring and fast-paced presentation on the convergence of AI and digital technologies reshaping healthcare.
Currently, “We’re not in the era of health care but of sick care”, Kraft says. But AI offers a way to constantly monitor our bodies, detect diseases early, and offer personalized treatments, he argues.
“I don’t think we’ll just be in an era of generative AI, but of generative health”, Kraft says. “Each of us will have our own personalized AI agents that interact with us based on our age, culture, language, personality type, and healthcare journey goals.”
In his presentation, Kraft showcases a convergence of exponential technologies – from genomics (where “the price of sequencing has dropped at twice the rate of Moore’s Law”) to wearables, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence.
“We’ll each have our own sort of ‘check engine’ light for our own bodies that will predict a disease before we even know that we have it”, he explains. Kraft also points to technologies like CRISPR and synthetic biology, which are already curing diseases like sickle cell anemia and enabling personalized vaccines for conditions like cancer.
