Patrick Cramer is the President of the Max Planck Society, the international flagship for German science. A chemist and structural and molecular biologist, Cramer has received numerous awards. He is a Member of the German National Academy Leopoldina, the American National Academy of Sciences, and The Royal Society in Britain.
