Ferenc Krausz is a director at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics and Chair of Experimental Physics – Laser Physics at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). In 2023, he received the Nobel Prize in Physics for his achievements in studying electron dynamics in matter with the help of extremely short light pulses (attosecond physics).
