Pioneering artist Beatie Wolfe shares her award-winning environmental projects, including an 800,000 year NASA climate data visualization, the world’s first bioplastic record – which she recorded with R.E.M. singer Michael Stipe and legendary producer Brian Eno – plus: an innovation unveiled for the first time at DLD Munich 2023.
Hear from Wolfe how she created her interactive climate data visualization “From Green to Red”– which was presented at the Nobel Prize Summit, the United Nations’ COP26 climate conference and the London Design Biennale, among other events.
Wolfe also shares her latest SciArt projects, which offer tangible solutions to the climate crisis, and explains how her work ended up being encoded in glass by Microsoft Research to be preserved in the first ever music seed bank, the Global Music Vault in Svalbard, for the next 10,000 years.
