Finding anything on the Web should be easy, Google has taught us. But a new generation of search engines is challenging the king of search. Their promise: better results, a nicer look – and far more privacy.
This conversation features two of the challengers: Brendan Eich, co-founder and CEO of Brave Software, and Sridhar Ramaswamy, CEO of Neeva, in conversation with Marc Al-Hames, Member of the Management Board at Hubert Burda Media.
Brendan Eich is the co-founder and CEO of Brave Software, which develops the popular Brave browser and the Basic Attention Token. He previously served as CEO of the Mozilla Corporation.
Sridhar Ramaswamy is the Chief Executive Officer of Neeva, an ads-free, private search engine that he launched with Vivek Raghunathan in 2019. He is also a Venture Partner at the VC investment firm Greylock.
Marc Al-Hames is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hubert Burda Media. Since joining the company in 2011, he has held various leadership roles, including Managing Director of the search company Cliqz and CEO of HolidayCheck Group. Al-Hames studied Electrical Engineering and holds a PhD from the Technical University of Munich.
