Artificial intelligence has the potential to provide customized learning experiences for students at scale, as Euro Beinat, Global Head of AI and Data Science at Prosus Group, illustrates in his DLD talk.
Initially, AI models did not live up to their promises, Beinat observes, because they often provided generic answers rather than personalized responses. But by retraining models on educational data and developing control methods, Prosus managed to make great progress.
“You can have a path of learning, which is individual for every single student”. Beinat says. “You can have a great tutor for every single learner. One that’s accessible to everybody, not only those that can afford it, but to everybody.”
