Building Crypto Solutions
Which real-world benefits can blockchain tokens and other web3 technologies bring to business and society? This DLD Munich session highlights two examples: carbon trading and social networks.
In conversation with Christian Teichmann (Burda Principal Investments), Bo Bai (MetaVerse Green Exchange) and Simon Leicht (Possible Ventures) explain how a decentralized information architecture and ownership tokens can improve the status quo.
MetaVerse Green Exchange is the first exchange to mandate carbon disclosure for both issuers and investors through its carbon neutrality blockchain platform. It promises to provide a verifiable record of climate-action projects to investors through digital carbon credits.
Simon Leicht addresses the question what web3 technologies can add to gaming and social media.
“I think one of the big differences is that crypto can actually bring ownership to a digital economy”, he says. “If you can measure and exchange economic activity, then most of the experiences you have become much more enticing.”
