Prof. Lisa Adams is a radiologist and Deputy Director at the Institute of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at TUM University Hospital Munich. Her work sits at the intersection of oncology medical imaging and AI. In her research, Prof. Adams develops foundation models that connect imaging with pathology lab values clinical notes and treatment outcomes.

Prof. Matthias Hebrok is Director of the TUM Center for Organoid Systems. With his team, he conducts research on cell therapy in diabetes and is developing organoid models to investigate new therapies for pancreatic cancer.. Before joining TUM, he was a professor at the University of California, San Francisco, where he directed the Diabetes Center.

Paralzyed after a serious motorcycle accident, Michael “Michi” Mehringer is the first person in Europe with tetraplegia to have a brain-computer interface implanted using microelectrodes. He is part of a unique research project at the TUM Klinikum Rechts der Isar and the Technical University of Munich. Michi is now able to control a computer cursor using only his thoughts.
